I never thought this day would come. I’ve thought about it long and often, and even though the dream has changed as the years have gone by, I’ve made sure I’ve never lost sight of what it means to me. Finally, I can type those magic words; in large print; and in red.

I HAVE A BOOK DEAL!

As you know, Amazon has opened doors for me and changed my life beyond my wildest dreams. So I’m thrilled to announce that I have accepted a two book deal for world English rights with Thomas and Mercer, their mystery, thrillers and suspense imprint. The best news is that not only are they going to be publishing my new book, WATCHING OVER YOU, in trade paperback, digital and audio, but they are going to be publishing TAUNTING THE DEAD too. Publication dates are waiting to be confirmed but TAUNTING THE DEAD will be re-jacketed and published in the second half of this year and WATCHING OVER YOU in quick succession. Both books will be launched simultaneously across the UK, US and Germany.

The journey has been long; often fraught. At times it has been joyous, exciting and believable. At times it has been heart-breaking, soul-destroying, gut-wrenching, stomach-churning, and so far out of reach. But I got there!

I’d like to say a massive thank you to Madeleine Milburn. I’d also like to say a huge thank you to ANYONE who has supported me along the way – whether that was by email, chats face to face, extremely long phone conversations!, tweets, and messages via Facebook. Every one of them meant so much.

I bloody well did it!

Here’s a bit about WATCHING OVER YOU:

She wants her, but she can’t have her…

Looking for a fresh start after losing her husband in a fatal accident, Carly Belington stumbles across a flat in leafy Warwick Avenue. At first, she thinks her new landlady, Ella, is being friendly, but soon Carly realises there’s more to it than meets the eye.

Ella Patrick stands naked in her window. She doesn’t care who sees her; she knows more than one person watches over her at the end of the road. Obsessed by her new tenant, she watches her too. She watches far more than she should – not that anyone would ever find out.

From across the road, elderly Jean Cooper keeps a sneaky eye on both women. She knows Ella is addicted to one night stands; she knows Ella sneaks downstairs when Carly isn’t home. But Jean will always keep her mouth shut – it doesn’t pay to tell the truth.

As Carly becomes wary of Ella’s possessive behaviour, choosing to stay out of her way, Ella begins to crack. She sets a trap to keep Carly for herself. But first there’s the new boyfriend to get rid of. And much to her annoyance, nosy Jean is witness to it all….
